About Penguin Orthotics
Where relief starts from the ground up.
Our Story
For over 30 years Robert Nekrasas D. Ch. (owner) has been running a full time chiropody practice at Ancaster Foot Clinic & Orthotic Centre in the “village core” of Ancaster (a part of greater Hamilton). Prior to becoming a chiropodist and graduating from a 3-year Chiropody program in Toronto, Robert obtained a Medical Degree from the Medical School of Vilnius University in Lithuania. He also has a Canadian Certified Pedorthist designation.
Starting from assessment and biomechanical gait analysis, through scanning or casting the feet, prescribing the orthotics, and dispensing or fine-tuning when needed, Robert has always manufactured his patients’ custom-made orthotics in his own lab. He also manufactures orthotics for various other clinicians. With a strong foundation in biomechanics, Robert is exceptionally equipped to run his own orthotic lab. He understands the complex mechanics of how people move—and more importantly, how to design custom orthotic solutions that improve comfort, performance, and quality of life.

At Penguin Orthotics, every step tells a story—and ours begins at the intersection of tradition and innovation. We’re a team of makers, thinkers, and problem-solvers who believe that orthotics should do more than support feet—they should elevate lives.

We combine the artistry of handmade craftsmanship with the precision of cutting-edge 3D printing to create orthotics that aren’t just medically effective, but beautifully personal. Whether shaped by careful hands or guided by digital design, each piece is tailored to move with you—not just anatomically, but authentically.

Just like our namesake, the penguin—a creature that’s both resilient and graceful in its element—we know the power of balance and adaptation. That’s why we engineer our orthotics to fit the unique contours of your lifestyle, so you can walk, run, or simply stand tall with confidence.

For us, it's not about mass production. It's about meaningful impact—one step at a time.
